How does Impact 100 Men work?

Impact 100 Men awards grants to nonprofits in South Palm Beach County by: 

  • Engaging men to contribute $1,500 each towards a shared grant, with $1,100 going to provide grants for the important work done by our grant recipients and $400 to support our operations. 

  • Using Focus Area Committees comprised of Impact members who choose to be involved in a grant review process, membership recruitment, finance, communication.

  • Awarding at least one annual grant of up to $100,000 to a local nonprofit determined by a vote of the membership. 

What types of organizations does Impact 100 Men fund? 

We consider grant requests from nonprofit organizations in South Palm Beach County specific we assist children in focus areas such as education, wellness, special needs, the arts, science and technology, and more.

What is the timing for becoming a member and awarding a grant?   

Members’ payments must be received by April 30th in the year the grant is being awarded.  The grant-making process takes place between the previous October and April, with the grant recipient being determined at the Annual Grant Award Celebration in May. The number of men who have contributed $1,500 determines the grant amount that will be awarded that year. 

What is expected from individual members? 

Once you join, your level of involvement is entirely up to you. You can simply join and cast your vote at the Annual Grant Award Celebration, or you can become actively involved on any number of committees.  

How long is my membership in Impact 100 Men? 

Membership is a one-year commitment and renewed on an annual basis. Members must be 21 years of age or older. 

Can my membership be paid in installments?

We encourage members to pay the full membership fee of $1,500.00 in one payment. To be eligible to vote for the current years grant award winner a member’s contribution must be paid in full by April 30th preceding Grant Award Celebration in mid May. Please note, members who wish to be considered for the Board of Directors or any of the committees for the upcoming grant year must be paid in full before May 30th. Committees are formed after the Annual Grant Award Celebration and before the new grant year which begins on June 30th. Committees must be formed and members appointed before the beginning of the grant year on June 30th.

Is my contribution to Impact 100 Men tax-deductible? 

Yes, your entire contribution is tax-deductible. Impact 100 Men Inc. is a qualified 501 (c)(3) tax exempt corporation under the Internal Revenue Code. You will receive a gift receipt for your records. Contributions made by December 31 are tax-deductible for that year. 

How do I join and what are my membership payment options? 

Click on Join Us and fill out registration form. You will then be directed to a payment page where you may select to pay by major credit card or by check.

 

How much of my contribution will go toward grants versus other expenses?

Impact 100 Men is an “all volunteer” organization.  There are no paid employees.  However there are administrative and marketing costs:

  •  $1,100 will go towards grants

  • $400 will support the daily operations and member events including our Annual Grant Award Celebration.
